Dirham (Silver, 19 mm, 1.70 g, 1 h), a contemporary imiation of type D, mint name very carelessly written and illegible, date effaced. Within a circle, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / ḍarb / Muḥammad / … / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Struck in …’ in Arabic); the names of the four Rashidun Caliphs around. Rev. Within a lightly pointed pentagon, ‘ḍuriba fī ayyām / dawla al-sulṭān al-aʿẓam / Abū Saʿīd Bahādur Khān / khallada Allāh mulkahū’ (‘Struck in the days of the state of the Supreme Sultan Abu Saʿid Bahadur Khan. May Allah perpetuate his kingdom’ in Arabic); effaced date formula in the margin. Cf. Album 2205 and Diler Ab-502 (for prototype).
